📽 Family Films and Last Night at the Proms 2025

🎊 As summer begins to wind down, Parson’s Close Recreation Ground, Leighton Buzzard will be alive with activity and atmosphere on Saturday 13th September 2025, offering a full day of entertainment for all ages.

📽 FILMS IN THE PARK
Start the day with the return of Family Films in the Park, a much-loved event featuring two screenings at 11am and 1pm.

🥪 BRING A PICNIC
It’s the perfect excuse to pack a picnic, bring a blanket, and settle in for a relaxed afternoon. While you’re there, why not explore the rest of what Parson’s Close has to offer?

⛱️ FREE FUN FOR KIDS
Cool off at the Splash Park, dip your toes in the sand at the mini beach.

🇬🇧 LAST NIGHT OF THE PROMS - 7pm
As the sun begins to set, the mood shifts from family fun to stirring tradition with the Last Night of the Proms celebration, beginning at 7pm. A highlight in the local calendar, this free event blends the joy of a live community gathering with the grandeur of a classic British musical tradition.

🎶 ENTERTAINMENT 
Enjoy a special performance by the Hitchin Band, joined by a guest vocalist to set the tone for an evening of uplifting music and shared spirit. The programme will also feature a live broadcast of the BBC Proms finale, complete with beloved patriotic anthems and orchestral favourites.

🎇 FIREWORKS
To round off the evening, a low-noise firework display will light up the skies—offering all the beauty and brilliance without the loud bangs.

🥂 REFRESHMENTS 
Throughout the day, refreshments will be available from the on-site kiosk and a small bar near the Bandstand will be serving drinks during Last Night of the Proms to help keep the celebratory spirit flowing.

🎊 Newport Pagnell Town Council 40th Anniversary Event

🎉 You're Invited! Join us as we celebrate 40 years of the Newport Pagnell Town Council with a fun-filled day for all ages at Bury Common on Saturday 13th September 2025.

🤩 WHAT TO EXPECT
🐾 12pm – Dog Show registration opens at the command centre

🐶 12.30–1pm – High-energy Flyball demo by Keyne Kanines + your chance to try it!

🏆 1–3pm – Fun Dog Show: wagging tails and winning smiles

📺 1.30–2.30pm – Cartoon Time: chill out with family favourites

🗺️ 3–4pm – Children's Treasure Hunt & Young Adult Competition

🎈 4–5pm – Balloon modelling & Puppet Show with Corina's Cool Kids Parties

🎤 5–6pm – Live singing performance by the amazing Shannon

🎓 6pm – Hear from our past mayors + a special presentation from Cllr Paul Day, our current mayor

🐶 DOG SHOW DETAILS
⭐There are 8 fun categories to enter - including the `Best In Show`
⭐To enter, head to the Command Centre from 12pm by the stage and complete an entry form
⭐Entry fee is just £2 per category - you can enter multiple categories  - all proceeds will go to the Mayor's chosen charity Medical Detection Dogs
⭐Each category winner will receive one of the amazing donated prizes listed below, together with a rosette and certificate.

📽 FREE FILM NIGHT - 7PM - 9:15PM
We’re screening THE GOONIES at 7pm!
🪑 Seating - There’ll be limited seating in the marquees, so feel free to bring your own picnic blankets or fold-up chairs.
💡 Lighting - As the evening sets in, we’ll have some lighting around—but we recommend bringing a torch (or using your phone light) to help you find your way.

🛍 Autumn Craft Fair 2025 - Flitwick Village Hall


Time: 11:00 - 16:00

🛍 This is our 2nd craft fair this year being held at Flitwick Village Hall 11am-4pm. Free entry.

ℹ️ EVENT DETAILS
Come along and visit over 30 stalls selling local crafts and products including jewelry, pottery, and textiles. Enjoy our refreshments, raffle, and popular tombola.
