🌱 Help Make Ampthill Beautiful - 2026
Time: 10:00 - 13:00
🗓 2026 DATES & TIMES
▪️Wednesday 30th September: 10am - 1pm
▪️Friday 9th of October: 10am - 1pm
ℹ️ DETAILS
There’s no need to stay for the whole session, just pop along when you can to help out. Everyone is welcome. We would also love to meet anyone who is interested in regular Conservation Volunteering in Ampthill Park. There is an opportunity to join a new volunteer group meeting every month to work alongside the Park Rangers and undertake a variety of conservation tasks.
These two events are opportunities to come and find out more.
🏵 SNOWDROP FLOWERS
Snowdrops are closely associated with remembrance so you may want to plant snowdrops in memory of a loved one and be part of a larger community effort. The bulbs will flower early next year, 200 years after Lord and Lady Holland planted the double Lime Avenue. This will form part of the Alameda’s 200th anniversary celebrations in 2027.
🌱 TOOLS PROVIDED
The park team will be on site to provide tools and show you what to do. If you are interested in the Conservation volunteering, we will explain our plans and provide information.
ℹ️ FOR MORE INFORMATION & LOCATION
Further Information on volunteering and any updates for this event will be available via Ampthill Town Council's website and you can email council@ampthill-tc.gov.uk for more information.

🌺 The Walled Garden Open Day 2026
Time: 10:30 - 16:00
🌹 WHAT TO EXPECT
Entrance includes a fascinating tour of the walled garden and visitors are encouraged to break their visit with a picnic or a visit to the Woodyard Café. The garden is best enjoyed at a snail’s pace, entrance is for all day! Notice boards and displays are updated throughout the season allowing fascinating insight into the garden’s rich history.
♿️ ACCESSIBILITY
Every effort has been made to make the garden accessible to as many visitors as possible. With that in mind we have recently finished resurfacing the area around the sundial making it far easier for wheeled access. However, due to the age and rich history of the garden there are some areas that are not accessible by wheelchair. Please inform members of the Walled Garden Project at the entrance and every effort will be made to provide an alternative route, provide commentary on the area, or help with pushing if there are volunteers available. Disabled toilets are available within the conservatory.
🐶 DOGS
Dogs on leads with well-behaved owners are most welcome at the Walled Garden.
🅿️ PARKING
Parking is in an immediately adjacent car park with clearing marked disabled parking bays. Pre-booking is not required. Please note the Walled Garden is not at the hotel entrance.
🎫 PRE-BOOKING IS NOT REQUIRED
