At the farm we have a range of animals including: Goats, Ducks, Sheep, Cows, Pigs, Rabbits, Chickens and Guinea pigs. You will have the opportunity to meet our animals. There will also be crafting activities, a bake sale and an opportunity to explore the forest area too.
Bring your picnic to enjoy being in an environment surrounded by nature.

This Sunday 19th July 2026, the Leighton Buzzard Railway is hosting a truly historic encounter. Take an 80-minute steam train return journey to Stonehenge Works, where you can meet roaming dinosaurs and explore the not quite so prehistoric rail trail.
Scientists were so preoccupied with whether they could, they didn’t stop to think if they should... but we're glad they did! Slots fill up fast, so secure your family tickets online in advance.

Dogs are welcome at Rushden Lakes, whilst on a lead, but pets are not permitted within the sand play area.

The surrounding event area is accessible, although movement on sand may be more difficult for some wheelchairs and pushchairs.

🤩 WHAT TO EXPECT
Throughout the whole festival weekend you will find many historic and trade boats, craft and games stalls, plenty of entertainment and refreshments, and so much more. The event is full of fun for the whole family and is set primarily alongside the picturesque towpath between the lock at Cosgrove and the recently refurbished Iron Trunk Aqueduct. The Craft Fair is held in the nearby Cosgrove Village Hall, only a short walk from the canal.
⛴️ BOAT TRIPS
Electra will run 40-minute trips from Cosgrove Lock over the Iron Trunk Aqueduct to the Galleon Wharf and back. Get spectacular views of the valley below!
Five trips each day.

Set in the stunning Chilterns landscape, Dunstable Downs is a brilliant place to spark young imaginations. This special weekend invites children and families to explore ancient crafts, discover fascinating finds and enjoy creative outdoor fun with a real archaeologist.
✨ WHAT TO EXPECT
Join Dr Wendy Morrison from the Chilterns Heritage & Archaeology Partnership for pottery making and artefact show and tell sessions designed especially for young explorers.
Children can make and decorate their own ancient-style ‘pinch pot’ using air-drying clay and natural materials such as feathers and flowers, then take their creation home as a lovely keepsake.
There’ll also be the chance to see intriguing artefacts up close, including a mysterious Bronze Age Carnyx - an instrument not heard on the Downs for more than 2,000 years.
