π Walsworth Festival 51st 2025 - Hitchin

π FREE ENTRY - The Walsworth Festival in Hitchin was first conceived in the 1950s and organised by the Walsworth Residentsβ Community Association at St Faithβs Church. Having gone through a number of different incarnations over the years, the festival is now run by a small band of local volunteers, and is host to various stalls, events, music, food, and even a car show!
EVENT DETAILS
βοΈ Arena - In the centre of the festival we have an arena where various exhibitions and acts entertain the crowd.
βοΈ Car Show - There will be a eclectic mix of cars, from true classics, modern classics, and even the occasional supercar.
βοΈ Live Music - A live music stage will playing various genres throughout the day, provided by Todd in the Hole!
βοΈ Food and Drink - A range of world foods will be provided by our friends at Hitchin Street Food; pizza, burgers, currries - including vegan options.
π ΏοΈ PARKING - Β£3
There will be parking on the day for Β£3 and will be manned by volunteer marshals. Please use this car park or walk to the event so we can avoid congestion through cars parking on the road.

π Following your success at the Dunstable Downs Spring Tournament, itβs time to train for the next challenge - facing mythical creatures on an exciting adventure! To be ready for the quest in October, this May half-term, youβll need to sharpen your map reading skills and familiarise yourself with the creatures and tools youβll encounter along the way.

1οΈβ£ Visit the hub to pick up everything you need!
2οΈβ£ Use your trail sheet map to locate 10 training stations across Dunstable Downs.
3οΈβ£ Each station will reveal either a mythical creature or a matching tool that will aid in your future quest
4οΈβ£ Record your findings in your creature catalogue to complete your training
5οΈβ£ Once youβve completed your catalogue, return to the Visitor Hub to claim your prize.

π‘AN IDEA FROM WHATSUP BEDFORDSHIRE...
Whatsup Bedfordshire bought a kite from Poundstretcher in Houghton Regis for only Β£1.99. We had so much fun which extended our day. Another idea on a nice day for is we brought a canvas and paints from the Works in Dunstable and painted the Downs (well tried to π), costing around Β£6. Don't forget to bring a picnic too!

Dog Exercising Field: Looking for a place where your dog can run free? Head over to the dog exercising field located above the campsite on the far side of the park. Itβs the sole area where dogs can be let off their leads.
