🐦 February Half-Term 2025: Bird-Themed Fun at Stanwick Lakes.We’ve gone ahead and planned an exciting half-term for you! Why not make your plans now and join us next month? From hands-on activities to creative crafts and engaging trails, there’s something for everyone to enjoy while learning about our feathered friends.
✅️ DROP -IN ACTIVITIES (NO BOOKING NEEDED):
Drop-in activities in the Visitor Centre all half term week. We have three bird-themed, self-led activities for to to choose from this February half-term. Available everyday of the school holidays, just ask a member of the team to get your set up once you arrive!
👣 February Half Term Trail - £3.50
Trail packs cost £3.50 and include a reward at the end.Suitable for all ages, allow around 45 minutes – 1 hour, for an avian adventure around Solstice Lake, with a clue to solve at each stop.
No booking necessary – just purchase your trail leaflet from the Visitor Centre. (during opening hours).
We recommend completing the trail between 9.30am – 3pm (allowing a lap of the lake in shorter daylight hours).

Make an oirgami bird from a choice of colours and designs to display in the Visitor Centre!
🖌 Pottery Painting: £8 - £18 (No pre booking)
We’ve added a couple of birds to our pottery pieces especially for our bird-themed half term!

No need to book! Purchase your materials at the Welcome Desk and get creative!

🐑 It’s our BIGGEST lambing season yet, with a flurry of adorable new arrivals expected this half term, daily from 15th – 23rd February 2025! We’re thrilled to welcome more mummy sheep than ever before, making it our most exciting lambing season yet!

Get up close to adorable newborn lambs and witness the wonder of lambing firsthand, there’s no better time to visit! Farmer Amy will also be on hand in the Animal Barn to answer all your lambing questions while keeping a watchful eye on the tiny hooves.

Housed in the renovated 20 metre glass house and surrounded by an outdoor courtyard with Potting Shed Cafe, Thrift Farm Garden Centre is home to a stunning selection of plants, garden tools and hand crafted gifts.
The Garden Centre is instrumental in providing a working based environment for our Adult Care Clients, who were the catalyst for the decision to reopen it after five years.
