π Steaming Days at The Buckingamshire Railway Centre

π Steaming Days is when we have a full-size steam train in action, ready to take you for a ride up and down our track! We also have miniature ride-on trains which are run by our sister society VAMES, (there is a small Β£1.50 charge for this per person β under 3s are free.

The rest of the site is open including the Railway Museum, the Visitor Centre with Gift Shop and Railway Cafe, and the model trains are usually running too. Steaming Days are most Sundays (Easter-Halloween), and also some Bank Holidays and some Wednesdays during school holidays. We have 25-acres of Railwayland to explore! Come and enjoy your local heritage railway!

Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome around the site and on the train. The only area they are not permitted is in the cafe.

Carers are admitted free of charge with the person there caring for but MUST produce proof of status on arrival. If you cannot provide proof of status you will be charged full price.

From captivating model railways to the clang of a working Blacksmith, from vintage game consoles to historic farm machinery, and from the impressive workings of a Rack Saw to the mighty 28-liter Crossley Gas Engine - there's something for everyone.
Step into the past and experience firsthand activities like lacemaking and pottery or embark on an adventure on our Tractor to Pitstone Windmill.
With the Museum only open to the public nine times a year, our team of approximately 50 dedicated volunteers are on hand to ensure your visit is both educational and enjoyable.

π Steaming Days at The Buckingamshire Railway Centre

π Steaming Days is when we have a full-size steam train in action, ready to take you for a ride up and down our track! We also have miniature ride-on trains which are run by our sister society VAMES, (there is a small Β£1.50 charge for this per person β under 3s are free.

The rest of the site is open including the Railway Museum, the Visitor Centre with Gift Shop and Railway Cafe, and the model trains are usually running too. Steaming Days are most Sundays (Easter-Halloween), and also some Bank Holidays and some Wednesdays during school holidays. We have 25-acres of Railwayland to explore! Come and enjoy your local heritage railway!

Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome around the site and on the train. The only area they are not permitted is in the cafe.

Carers are admitted free of charge with the person there caring for but MUST produce proof of status on arrival. If you cannot provide proof of status you will be charged full price.
