🐝 Bee Friendly Family Open Day (free entry, booking advised) - Hitchin

👨👩👧👧 Activities for all the family. There are always a range of free activities for children and of course our experienced beekeepers are on hand to talk about the bees.
They will answer any questions you have, point out the queen in our observation hive and share tips on how to make your garden more bee friendly.

- 🐝Test your knowledge with our fun quiz
- 🐝Have a go at making your own candle
- 🐝Try your hand at wax cup making & modelling

- 🐝Arts and crafts such as making paper bees, building a bee house or just colouring
- 🐝We often run a video about bees & the environment during the afternoon
- 🐝The observation hive is always available where you can study the bees up close
- 🐝Plant stall selling bee friendly plants
- Wildlife tombola (pay to play)
🗺 LOCATION
Take the track at the side of the last house (number 178) on Old Hale Way, Hitchin, SG5 1XT. Follow the track past the allotments, and the Discovery Centre can be found at the end. We normally ask visitors to please park on the road unless they have mobility problems. What Three Words Location : crate.coins.regaining
