Gravely fruit farm will be open for strawberry picking on Sunday 24th August 2025.

My family set off for a wonderful day to this great farm in the Hitchin area. It is FREE entry, you can pick your own strawberries at a cost (depending on availability) with other activities for children and the family to enjoy. Set in the beautiful surrounding countryside. A great family fun, memorable day out for all and not far from Bedfordshire! Plus they have a car boot sale on Saturday's.
❓DO I NEED TO BOOK?
No you don't need to book which is the great thing, you can enjoy a last minute fun day out, but I'd recommend checking there facebook page incase of any updates on times and days ect.
🐕 DOGS
Well-behaved dogs are welcome, but you have to keep them on leads and out of the polytunnels.
🏖 PLAY AREA
The play area and sand pit is FREE to use. Fantastic!
They have a large children’s adventure play area including a zip wire and a haystack. The play area is overlooked from the cafe so you can keep an eye on your little or not so little ones!
🐷 PIGS
There are also some pigs to look at and feed, pig food is available to feed them at a low cost.

(Hold on it gets very bumpy, this is more of a tractor rally ride 😅)

🐶 DOGS INFORMATION
Dogs are welcome at Stanwick Lakes, but they must be kept on a lead throughout the main reserve due to wildlife. However, you are permitted to let your dog off-lead along the former railway line as you head north out of the site. Dogs are NOT allowed in the adventure play area, but they are permitted on the adventure trail and in the visitor centre and cafe.
☕️ THE VISITOR CENTRE
The Visitor Centre Café closes at 3pm on weekdays, however on weekends, bank holidays, and during school holidays it will close at 4.30pm with last hot food orders at 4pm. The shop and toilets remain open until 5pm everyday.
