A Christmas Craft Fair in Brook End, the Community Centre and the Market Square, which will include the usual stalls from Potton groups and organisations, together with Henry Harris’ fairground rides and other entertainment on stage in the Market Square.

Every Christmas Stony Stratford glitters and shines with enchanting, twinkling lights, and excitement builds as the festive season is officially launched following the town’s Christmas Lights Switch-On Fun Day.

Each year we have a wealth of local musical talent performing on the stage in the Market Square from about 11.30am to 4.20pm. There is always a good mix of musical genres and this year is no exception. Watch out for the programme on our website.

Concrete Circus will be setting up on the Market Square to encourage children to have a go at juggling, unicycling, tight-rope walking and other circus skills. So why not bring the kids down to have a go.

Santa will be making a stop off in the Market Square in Stony Stratford as part of his busy schedule to delight the children.

🌟 LANTERN PARADE: Leaves York House Centre at 4:15pm ➡️ London Road ➡️ High Street ➡️ Church Street ➡️ Market Square for the light switch on at 5pm.

Finally, as it gets dark, the lantern parade will meander down London Road to the High Street and into the Market Square in time for the countdown, then the lights will be turned on followed by some community carol singing to get the Christmas celebrations off to a fine start!

✨️ Prepare Reindeer Food: In the Magic Stables, Drifter is preparing Rudolph and his friends’ favourite food. Here the children can fill their own bag of special magic food to take home.
✨️ Make a wish: Now for that very special moment when you make a wish on Santa’s Wishing Stars – ssshhh don’t tell anyone!!
✨️ Meet Santa & Mrs Claus: If that’s not enough fun, Mrs Claus will invite you into their cozy sitting room to meet Santa himself for a festive story, a present for each child and individual time with him and the opportunity to take that personal photograph of all the family.
✨️ Take a ride: Outside Rudolph is waiting to say ‘Merry Christmas’ and see you all, and each child can enjoy a go on Santa’s fairground train ride after which all the family can enjoy some time in our glittering, illuminated Wonderland and climb aboard The Santa Express for more fun and photos.

New for 2025, join Flitwick Parish Church at the Light Switch On and capture your family in a new light!
We will be transforming our gazebo into a stable so that you and your little ones can recreate the Nativity scene for use on Christmas Cards, virtual greetings, profile pics... whatever you want really.
We will provide the costumes (optional), props and aditional characters (also optional). You just choose how you want to set up your photo. You can also ask the innkeeper to take the photo on your camera/phone for you, if that helps.
There will also be some treat bags for those who get involved. So why not drop by between 3pm and 6pm to join in the fun!

We will be transforming our gazebo into a stable so that you and your little ones can recreate the Nativity scene for use on Christmas Cards, virtual greetings, profile pics... whatever you want really.
We will provide the costumes (optional), props and aditional characters (also optional). You just choose how you want to set up your photo. You can also ask the innkeeper to take the photo on your camera/phone for you, if that helps.
There will also be some treat bags for those who get involved. So why not drop by between 3pm and 6pm to join in the fun!
