✨️ ABOUT:
Emma’s been looking for ways to fill the gaping hole her identical twin sister’s death left behind. So she thought she’d make a show for them. Only it's proving a little tricky because Emma doesn’t like doing things on her own.
Whole is an intimate peek into the journeys we take to re-find ourselves in our darkest moments - exploring female rage, sibling joy & the healing power of a creative mission.

🧚♂️ Pixiematosis - The Place Theatre, Bedford
Time: 19:30
Then one day, without warning, the deranged gardener from next door threw the shed door wide, and the pixies of this nocturnal paradise realised, far too late, that they were being exploited for a distinctly sinister purpose.

🧵 SQWONKY PUPPETS & ODDITIES
Featuring sqwonky puppets, odd-automata and a slew of charity-shop rejects, ‘Pixiematosis’ is not unlike watching a lost episode of Bagpuss, filmed by the Tales of the Unexpected crew... or witnessing Fingermouse being folded up and used to stop a pub table wobbling.
Come along, be charmed, be appalled; get swept up in a story of greed and the existential madness of it all.

⚔️ A Knight of Terror - The Place Theatre, Bedford
Time: 19:30
📖 ABOUT
An old man languishing in his stately home awaits the arrival of his solicitor to share a tale of golden days... Oh, and the Butler is on fire.
Journalist Thomas Carstairs is absolutely hopeless. He's foppish, foolish and above all totally unqualified to be a writer. Looking for inspiration, Thomas travels to a remote seaside town and immediately has an unceremonious welcome from the locals who see him for the pathetic, talentless toff he undoubtedly is.
What starts as an innocent writing retreat leads to the discovery of a wizened and mysterious skull of terrifying origins. One that has the power to bring Thomas' wildest fortunes into being and to awaken a very formidable foe... An armoured one.
Created by Bonnet Dog, A Knight of Terror is a Victorian Gothic Ghost Story that mixes the uncanny tales of M. R. James with the silliness of classic British humour. Join us as we recite this ripping yarn that promises laughs as well as chilling spooks.

▪️Concession: £16.00
▪️Wheelchair User & Buddy: £16.00

🌳 🚶♀️A Walk in the Park - The Place Theatre
Time: 19:30
👣 THE REALITY & THE CONTEXT
Did you know that 70% of women in the UK have experienced sexual harassment in public? Meanwhile, a social media poll found that in a hypothetical world without men for a day, the overwhelming majority of women said they’d use the opportunity to go for a walk alone after dark.
🎭 AN ATMOSPHERIC EXPLORATION
Taking these findings as a starting point, A Walk in the Park is a participatory performance aimed at exploring our shared experience of public spaces. Combining authentic conversations, startling statistics and choreographed movement to create an atmospheric exploration of what it can feel like to walk alone in the dark, the performance ends with an invitation to the audience to leave the space together and walk through a nearby park or green space.
🌳 LEAVING THE SPACE TOGETHER
During this shared walk, participants are facilitated to share their experiences and build an installation of creative reflections. All voices and contributions are welcome, and audience members are free to participate as much or as little as they wish.
🗣️ AUDIENCE FEEDBACK
“Beyond anything, this show makes me feel seen.”
“The perfect form to start a conversation that can initiate change.”
